Brenden Drinkard-McFarland is a second-year dual degree master's in engineering management (MEM) and engineering education PhD student at The Ohio State University. He obtained his undergraduate degree in industrial engineering from Purdue University. He aims to explore how the participation of undergraduate Black engineering students in engineering engagement projects centered in Black communities impact their critical consciousness and empowers them as engineers. Brenden is an active member of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) and the Black Graduate Professional Student Caucus (BGPSC) on campus and can be frequently found enjoying music, the arts, and gaming in his free time.
