Tyler Young is a graduate student in the College of Engineering at The Ohio State University, where he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Engineering Education and an M.S. in Aerospace Engineering. He holds a B.S. in Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University (CWRU).

 

Tyler has over a decade of experience in education, including experience as a Civic Engagement Scholar at CWRU, a high school science teacher, a researcher and workshop coordinator at the Center for American Indian Research and Native Studies, and an interpretive park ranger with the National Park Service. His research investigates culturally responsive and sustaining pedagogies, pathways into engineering education for students from American Indian reservations, capacity building at tribal colleges and universities, and Native nation building.
